Subject: how tough to drop IP: Logged
Message: how hard is it to drop a dakota , i have talked to a few people and i have heard turning the leaf springs over ?? does that work?

Message: its not hard to drop the dakota, it basically explains itself once u take the wheel's off, umg...as for turning the leaf springs i have never heard that...and doubt if it would work

Message: Some trucks are built with the leaf springs on top of the axle. On those trucks if you "flip the spings" you are moving them to the bottom of the axle and you get anywhere from a 4" to 7" drop.
Dakota are built with the axle already on top of the springs so no it won't work. There are a lot of way to drop Dakotas from cheap and easy to tough and expensive. You have to decide on what's most important: looks, ride quality, handling, etc.
Once you know that the direction becomes much clearer.
