Subject: Ram Springs... Who Knew IP: Logged
Message: Ok..... tell me if this is something wrong!
I was droping someones V-6 Ram with springs, shackels, and hangers 3/5 drop. When I got the the spring part, to me they look like the same springs as my truck sooooo after I got done with the drop, I told the guy the springs are mine.
next day I went ahead and examine the Ram springs and mine (while still on the truck) and notice that infact they pretty much are the same spring ..... only the rams was shorter than mine! So figuring I might get a cheap 1" more, I went ahead and swaped them for scientific reasons.... ofcourse
3" drop with stock v-6 ram springs and my A-Arms makes a total of 5" drop. Pretty suprised to see my truck THAT LOW!!!
Heres the thing thats been kickin me in the bumbum! Why would Ram springs be shorter than Dakota springs when Rams are far bigger? Is it because it was a V-6 or do they just have a totaly shorter suspention.
I think next I'm gonna find a V-8 Ram to further my experement :)

Message: You mean how they ride? Well with a 5" drop.... amazingly tight but not tight enough. I'm rubbing a bit on the fenders but I blam that on my rims. I bet stand alone they would make a desent 3" drop. Its not bouncy or anything just not tight enough for my taste. They ride real nice on the highway. I think part # wise, the last three are only different, a dakota are 23sumthin and the ram is 050,
I wonder if there is a web sight that can give the specifics on both springs... or even the weight of both vehicles on the front axles
