Ok i got a 2001 Quad Cab w/4.7l I am planning to drop it 2/3. My friend has a complete Beltech 2/3 drop kit he wants to sell me. He bought it for his R/T CC. My question is will it work on my Quad with no problems. I know that hotchkis makes different coils for the 4.7 and the V6 than the 318 and 360. I don't want to install everything to find out the front sits higher than the rear. Also what shocks to you guys recomend. I do tow a traval trailer so I will be installing the firestone airbags in the rear witch he is selling me also for 400.00 for everything. Thanks

My Question is almost the same I want to lower my Dako. With a 3-4 drop. But I have a choice of different shocks. Bell techs, Toxic, Doesh tech, Kybs. What's better. Also this weekend i had them put in a 3in. exhaust sysm. From my Differtial to my bumpstop is about 4inches. How did you guys lower the rear.

I would get the Hotchkis setup over the Belltech, it's much better quality for the Dakotas. It is much stiffer, the ride can be harsh at times, but for towing it will help you out alot. They recommend the Bilstein shocks which are stiff, but the ride control is top notch. Hotchkis will also have large diameter swaybar which also help in towing. I have it and couldn't be happier, you can corner like a car.

As for the second person, I have Bilsteins in the rear and the Doesh Tech shocks in the front. The Doesh Techs aren't as harsh of a ride, but firmer than stock. I didn't want my truck to be extra harsh with the Hotchkis suspension and the Bilsteins in the front, also, my truck is lighter than 90% of the daks out there. I had to take that into account.
