Subject: lowering kit advice IP: Logged
Message: Hi, I have a 98 Dakota sport w/ a 3.9L. I was wondering what kit would some of you advise me to get. I am looking for a 3/5 drop, I'm interested in the Western Chassis kit, and also the DJM. Which one of the two is better quality wise? How was the ride after being lowered? (bumpy ride? I am trying to keep a close to stock ride, with better handling) I've also heard about problems with camber after lowering, what issues will arrive when I lower my truck?
Thanks for any help

Message: I have the WC 3/5 kit. Here is what I used to get a nice ride : WC 3/5 kit, moog balljoints (uppers and lowers), Energy suspension poly bushings in the upper and lower control arms & front swaybar, belltech nitro drop shocks, r/t front and rear antisway bars, 275/40/17 rubber.
Rides like its on rails. Stay away from the djm kit, I hear you cannot align them right.
I am only 1/2 degree out of alignment, but when you install your kit, notch out the holes where the upper control arm mounts to the frame. Then you won't have any problems with alignment.
