Subject: Help!!!! 22's???? IP: Logged
Message: Lets say i were to get 22x 9.5" 's on my dak. how many problems would i be facing? Would it rub on a 98' dak stock 2x4? If not how much could it be lowered to achieve the lowest stance possible, w/out rubbing? Assume i would being using 45 series tires. Does any one have 22's? If it really wouldn't work, i would just get 20's besides, but i think 22's would be really cool.
Please i wanna here your guys imput.

Message: i just got 20s but i also thought of getting 22s. ive heard that they will fit but you cant lower it w/o rubbing. im having a similar problem w/ thinking how to lower my dak on 20s becuase i have 275/45/20 tires which are huge for 20 inch rims. im prob just gonna lower it 1/2 or 1/3. you would be in a similar situation i would guess,or prob worse. but then again you'd have 22s and it would look sick and would have no need to lower it. just my opinion

Message: Yes 22's can be done I've seen pics of Daks with them. However you probably won't be running 45 series. For instance the BFG g-force 295/45/22 is 32.5" tall. Their 295/35/22 is 30" tall. OK for a lifted truck but not stock height or lowered dak.
The tire and handling group comes with a 255/65/16 which is 29" tall. My Dak is lowered 2/3 and I wouldn't dare run a taller tire. So with 22's you're probably gonna need something like 30 series. Then watch out for bumps or those rims are gonna look like tacos.
While 22's can be done, I might for a show truck, but I wouldn't for daily driver.
Just my $0.02. Good luck and I wanna see pics if you go for it.
