Message: the lowest you can go is about 5" in the rear without notching the frame. if you load it down, or tow, you will incounter some frame VS axle issues, and your back usually looses
-Eric Injection is nice, but i'd rather be blown. 5.2L, 5speed. Powerdyne SC, 50mm TB, 2bbl M-1, 1.7RR's, MSD 6BTM, ciramic JBA headers, carsound cat, dumped gibson

Message: I am about 1.5" away from the frame in the rear and I can tell you its no fun!!
What I did though was go ahead and lower it to where the axle is right in the frame then add air shocks and keep about 40lbs in em, it stiffened up the rear nicely and keeps it (for the most part) off the frame.
Just my little cheesy fix, thought you guys may want to know.

Message: FazDak im lookin at gettin air shocks. I have a 3/5 djm kit and my problem is when i tow stuff in the winter (snowmobiles) it would probably ride on the frame? Would air shocks be a solution to this? would they go stiff enough to keep the back end up? Also do you know of any good places i could purchase some?
thanks

Message: Air SHocks would probably be a good fix for your towing issue, I would use an air bag helper kit, but air shocks should be OK. As far as a C-Notch, you can get a bolt-in.

Message: I am in the process of installing airbags on a 2000 quad cab. I am going with a custom made behind the axle setup. I have just put in the bolt in 2 inch mini c notch kit. I also tack welded it in place for my own piece of mind. It looks like the bolts would hold it though. The truck is now lowered in the back with DJM spring hangers and it had a problem with the axle hitting the frame until I bought real shocks. Right now the bed is off and it drives pretty rough due to light weight. I can take pictures and send them if anyone is interested. Would like to hear from other airbagged owners if any. toyman@mycollectiblesonline.com Thanks, Sean

Message: with just the bolt in notch there would be NO ride difference. With air shocks there would be a slightly stiffer ride depending on the amount of air in the shock. the bolt in notch gives you two inches of extra clearance

Message: Hey man you can get a bolt on c-section from AIM. They run about 69 dollars. I am looking for one as well. I have a 5-6 drop and I have some Toxic shock gas shocks. Dont get the air shocks, they are way to tight to have a comfortable ride. Get a c-section from aim and go with some Toxic Shocks. They run around 29.99 a shock. Good Luck!
