Subject: Need help lowering front 2 inches IP: Logged
Message: Hi. I said this in a earlier post but I really need to get my truck looking right. I just lowered my 2000 V6 Reg Cab 2" up front and 4" out back using the Westrn Chassis 2/4 kit which uses springs and shackles/hangers. The front only dropped about an inch. Does anyone have the Bell Tech 2" lowered springs on their truck? How much did it lower the front. Or, do I need to get a set of 3" lowered control arms to get the front around a 2" drop? Any help is greatlty appreciated. Thanks

Message: If you use a 3" lowered control arm, it will drop you 3 more inches. What you need is a spring that is made for the V6 Dakotas. You probably got a spring that is made for the V8's...your engine isn't that heavy. I would recommend stock coils and the Western Chassis 2" Control Arms.
