Subject: How fat a tire can I run? IP: Logged
Message: I just lowered my '01 Sport CC Graphite 4.7 with a 2/2 kit. Very conservative but strickly for performance.
My question is that I'm still running the 16 inch rims all around. The back tires are balding prematurely (hehehee). I just want to replace these back two. Given I know 'jack' about tire sizes; how fat a tire can I put back there? I don't mind if they are a little taller in the sidewall,,,just want a wider tire.
Can someone throw me a suggestion? (I would prefer them to be Goodyear Eagles so the match the front,,but hey I can live w/whatever.)
Thanks,
Andy

The *fatest* Goodyear tire you will be able to find for those 16x8 wheels are the Eagle #1 Nascar ... 285/60-16.
