Subject: What should I do?

I'm switching my front suspension from western chassis control arms and springs to just the Hotchkis spring. I have the stock control arms and wanted to know can I just cut the bumpstop or should I replace it with the Hotchkis piece? If I replace it how the hell do I get the oem bumpstop out?

One last question. I'm replacing the ball joints and I was going to have a machine shop do it for me, but they were screwing around and took to much time. They manage to cut all the rivets on one control arm, but still couldn't get them out. I used a friends drill press and drilled a whole through all the rivets, do I just keep drilling with a larger bit or what?

To remove the bump stops I used a air chisle and rivet gun. WEAR EYE Protection while doing this work! Cut the rivet off with air chisle, then drill into that part of rivet with sharp steel drill bit, I believe i used the 5/16 drill bit, drill in to the point of the thickness of the A-ARM and the take a decent size punch and a heavy hammer and smack it good, the rivets should pop out..this same technique can be used for the ball joint rivets as well, but i believe the drill diameter will be 1/4". you dont want to drill all the way through the rivet. you need to have some left to hold the punch so you can hammer it out.

I'm selling all my old components. Any buyers can just email me, other wise I'll put them on ebay.

Thanks for the help.
