Subject: backspacing IP: Logged
Message: i plan on lowering my truck very soon along with getting rims and tires. i was just curious what backspacing is and what it has to do with the rims. ive heard this mentioned in several boards but no one has explained it

I gave you the link because they can explain it way better than I could. If you want the wheels to "tuck" inside the fender with a low drop I know that on a 8" wide rim your gonna need at least 6" of backspacing. Make sure you also consider your tire size. Running to tall or wide a tire will cause them to rub on the fender. Hope this info helps.
