Subject: 1991 Engine HELP!! IP: Logged
Message: I've got a 1991 Dakota all tricked out on the outside and inside, and now I need some engine work. When it came to redoing the dakota I didn't mess around. I put a belltech 2/4 lowering kit, 18" Gara Rims, 225/40ZR18 Nitto tires, Razzi Ground effects, Custom Roll Pan with dual exhaust outlets, Alpine Alarm and sound system, Tinted windows, and a very custom interior. Now I want to get some horsepower out of the 1991 5.2L- I can NEVER find headers for it. I think the 1991 5.2L Engine is different from any other dakota 5.2L Engine. I want a cam, some headers, an intake, better throttle body, supercharger?, anything??!!! Can anyone help??

Message: A 5.2 is a 5.2 is a 5.2, there shouldnt be any difference. Its a 318 made by Mopar right? That engine has been around for decades and is one of the best engines of its class. Go to the performance board or the V8 dakotas board and I'm sure you will find a bunch of throttle junkies there to help you in that field, got any pictures of your truck?
