Message: It's about the easiest thing to do to your truck.
Jack up the rear of the truck and put it on jackstands. Then unbolt the stock U-bolts and such. Put the blocks between the axle and leaf springs (use the jack to lift the axle). Then bolt it back up with the longer U-bolts most likely included in the kit.

Message: Make sure you support the one side of the axle with the hydraulic jack. loosen and do one side at a time when you install blocks. the only prob with the aluminum blocks are that they can break under severe punishment like wheel hopping from burnouts, I doubt that the u-bolts are the size you will need, most that come with blocks are for a smaller truck like s-10 and rangers. Also your pinion angle will be off if you dont install 4 degree shims at the same time....

Message: dakguy, i have had a 4" block in mine for 2 1/2 years without any problems. i have a v8 with mods and the blocks withstand 3k rpm cluch dumps, railroad tracks, 45 through a 25 mph corner and a lot more. i have some 3" shackles in my garage that i can use with a 1" block instead of the 4" one that im using now, but if it aint broke dont fix it. ;-)

Message: Kevster
I've seen some blocks (in Sport Truck Ads) that come with a built in angle to compensate for the pinion angle.
How do you know what degree of pinion correction is required? What happens if you don't correct the pinion angle correctly or at all?
I think a QC DAK would look better with a rear 2" drop and the front remaining stock. Has anyone done this?
Thanks

Message: One more question....
Do you have to use "drop shocks" when using the 2" blocks?
One more please....
How much better are shackles than blocks? I understand the shackles are harder to install..
Thanks again and again
