Message: ok so i should go a 4link in the back and 2 in the front? and if i do that, then i will be able to drop the back farther than the front, right?
right on, but yeah how would i go about shortening the rear end? and if i do you say my wheels "will" fit nicely? like i said i will be getting low profile tires, but i want everything to compliment eachother. basically wanna know what the heck im doing before i piece it all together.

Message: Ok I have a 98 club cab with r/t wheels with 275/40's. I
want to ride slightly lowered or even stock height alot of
the time. I don't care about laying on the ground but i
want like 4" or 5" in the front and like 5" or 6" in the rear.
I don't wan't to skimp on anything but i would like to
keep my front control arms if possible. I was wondering
what the best way to go would be. Also you say that the
wheels might not fit and you might have to shoten the
rear? What would you do to shorten it? Also i need to
be able to carry some weight in the back pretty
frequently, is this possible? Thank you, any info will
help.

Message: to shorten the rear end you need to take it to a driveline shop. they usually remove the axle, cut the axle tube to the length you want and then put in new axle's. the lowest profile tires i could find without looking stupid was a 255/40/17. before i bagged mine when i lowered it 3" in the front and 4" in the back, no one would sell me anything but lower control arm because of the weight of the 5.9. i have heard of some r/t owners using spindles as well as springs though. as for the back i bought new hangers for the leaf spring. i bought the rear and forward hangar. im not sure if 6" in the back will keep the fender off of the tire. i have seen 5" drops in the rear and it is close. i wouldnt go any more than 4" because of the axle tube hitting the frame. i had to cut my bump stops and it would still bottom out from time to time. as for shortening the rear end you shouldnt have to unless you bag it. dodge made th axle tubes so long and the r/t rims so wide with the backspacing they have, it isnt possible to bag it on r/t rims without shortening it. i will have to shorten mine to be able to fit 20's. a company called BCS sell upper and lower control arms. their address is www.brislands.com
i have no idea how good they are, but i will be looking in to them so i can replace my control arms. oh, by the way DO NOT buy ANYTHING from chassis tech, aim, z motive, or autobahn. they are all owned by the same company and their stuff SUCKS!!!

Message: YES it is possible to bag the rear of an R/T without shortening the rear axle, mine is bagged and laying frame on the stock R/T rims. as far as laying on 20's, all you have to do is find a decent rim company who will make the right offset. check out my profile on streetsource mag under owner profiles...screen name THROWNSPRKS, I have a set of 20x8 tezzen DECCO wheels being made right now with a 6 3/4 offset and it will tuk and lay frame.

Message: I have a 99 Dakota that's bagged on 17's and it lays frame. It handles and rides great. See it at www.blazecustomz.com. The pictures there are before I bagged it but I'm updating it soon. To answer some questions. Don't lower it then bag it. Just bag it, it'll save you money. If the notch is set up right in the back you can keep the stock shock mounts, lowered shocks will be needed, In order to get wheels to tuck, the best thing to do is call a wheel company that makes wheels to order such as Boyd Coddington, found at www.sporttruck.com. You can keep your stock sway bar and links. e-mail with any other questions, I'd love to help a fellow dakota dragger.
