Subject: Hotchkis Kit IP: Logged
Message: Anyone out there run the 2" front lower and 3" rear lower hotchkis springs/ leafs? How's the camber in the front after lowering and the ride? I know they can make anything handle so Im thinking theyll help a 4.7 2wd really move. Thanks

Message: I have the Hotchkis kit on my 2001 QC and I love it! After installing the parts it was aligned to the Hotchkis recommended specs. It tracks real well, corners great, and tire wear seems to be normal.

Message: My truck was lowered 2"/3-1/2". I used 2 of the adjustment plates in the back to get the 3-1/2". The kit worked as advertised. I also went with the Bilsteins, expensive, but they work great! I also got the best prices from Randy Pile at http://www.worldwideperformanceparts.com/

Message: I have a hidden hitch behind the roll pan. I've pulled a small 4x8 utility trailer twice since putting on the Hotchkis. No problem, of course it wasn't much weight either. According to them the rear springs are engineered to maintain the factory towing capacity.

Message: List price from Hotchkis is $1300 + shipping for the entire package. I got mine from Randy Pile at worldwideperformanceparts.com. He beat the Hotchkis list prices by a considerable amount.

Message: I just dropped my truck tonight. I got a 02CC SLT w/4.7 Auto. I got 20" wheels with 275/45/20's wrappin them. I got some friends with a shop so we put it on the lift and we did it all in about 2 1/2 hours, Coils, Leafs, and new Bilstein Shocks all around. We didn't put the new bump stops on the front cause they looked like way too much trouble. We cut about 1/2" off the originals and works perfect, plus I don't have to worry about rubbin my 20's. I love the way it handles . . rides stiff but thats what I expected. All in all . . about $1300.00 later I am very pleased and I feel good cause I know it is all the best stuff . . no worries!!

Don't forget sway bars. I ran my truck without them for a few months and the kit was good then. It got much better when I added the sway bars.

Message: Those Bilsteins are for un-lowered trucks. You can only get the lowered ones from Hotchkis. They custom valve them.
