 Subject: fender flairs

i want to remove the fender flairs on my 01 5.9 CC. any advice/suggestions/problems i should know about before i just start ripping them off? i've seen pics and i think it looks cleaner. i already have all the badging off and a roll pan on so this would help me out with the overall look i'm goin for. will there be paint marks, scratches, blemishes etc? thanks.

They're attached with some double sided tape and some screws. At most you'd have to polish off some tape goo, as long as you peel off the flares carefully.
