Subject: questions about lowering IP: Logged
Message: /i live in western canada and most of the trucks in my town are all on 3"-4" lifts. off-roading is fun but i want a lowered truck. just to kind of stand out of the crowd.
I have a 2000 ext, v6 dakota.
I want to lower this truck, not slam it but lower it.
what kind of drop could i do (2/4 3/5??) without C-notching my frame?
I do drive on some back roads and hit a few pot holes doing so. so i dont want my rear axel banging my body.
Also with a 2/4 drop, do i need to do anything with my stock 15" wheels. with 235/70/R15?

Message: Common kid your killin me.
You can do a 2/4 drop with not a ton of bottoming out and with out a c-notch.
A 3/5 will require a c-notch and if you put anything in bed of your truck becarefull not to put a lot of weight in it.
Look into Hotchkis Suspenions they are a 2/3 drop that I have just purchased and I have heard a lot of good about them.
www.Hotchkis.com
Or
www.SOCALDAKOTAS.com is running a sale on them or atleast they were.
Just do some google searches on lowering a truck and soforth.
