Subject: Hotchkis & Stock Shocks IP: Logged
Message: Is it okay to get the hotchkis coil-springs and leaf -springs, but not buy the Bilstein mono-tube gas shocks?
I want to just use my stock shocks if I can.
Eventually I will get the Bilstein shocks, but for a while will it ride okay or be bad for the Truck?
By the way it is a:
1999 3.9l Reg. Cab 2WD

Message: It's possible, but it will ride like crap. The Hotchkis-tuned Bilsteins are worth the money, everyone who has used alternative shocks (except the more expensive QA1's) reported that the ride was really harsh, improved when they swapped over to the Bilsteins.
