Subject: Will RT Suspension work on a 2000 Q. Cab IP: Logged
Message: Hello all.
I have an opportunity to get all the suspension off a 2000 Club Cab RT. (front coils, rear leaf springs, and both swaybars).
I am wanting to know, before I purchase, If this will work the same and fit the same on a 2000 Quad Cab 4.7 Given the extra weight of a Quad Cab and the shorter bed length versus the Club Cab. Are the leaf springs in the rear a different size?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Message: You're going to lose load carrying and towing capacity should they fit. I don't know, but I see no reason why they wouldn't fit.
When I can find my part number listing I'll see if there are different part numbers between the non-R/T CC and QC trucks. If they are the same, I'd venture to guess the R/T springs would fit without problems.

Message: I did that the same thing on my 2002 qc, the rear end becomes really soft and bouncy, I could push the rear end down quite a few inches just with pressure from my hand, i dont think the springs can hande the extra weight in the rear from the qc. btw the leafs I put on had less than 10,000 kms on it.

Message: The only reason it wouldn't work in the front is if the QC is 4x4.
Since you haven't stated whether it was 4x4 or 2x4, can't give good answer.
