Subject: 2" drop ? IP: Logged
Message: I am looking at a set of 2 Eibach 2" drop coils. Its the pro kit. Anyway, I was wondering what I should use to compliment the rear end. I know to drop it 2" as well. What kit/hardware is reccomended? Also I am a first time 'Drop'. What else should I look at to drop my dak? New Shocks, spindles, etc.?

Message: You could use shackles and hangers for the rear. I have a 3/4 drop on my 97 Dakota and it looks nice. You will need to get new shocks unless you like a really bouncy ride. If your using coils in the front you don't need spindles. Also look into getting some pancake bumpstops for the rear so you have more clearance between the axle and the frame. I c-notched my rear end for more clearance because I have it down 4 inches and had constant bottom outs due to the crappy roads in Wisconsin.

Message: Put 1250 lb of gravel in the bed. That should get it down.
