i got pulled over in bfe, california today. the cop pulled me over because his fat a$$ had noth1ng better to do. he started writting me a ticket for my lowered dak.
i then tell him that i work for the state as a transportation engineer (i actually do), and that he is full of cow shlt and that this wont hold up in court. I even recite the vehicle code to him which basically states: the distance from the lowest point on the rim to the bottom of the tire must be greater than any other distance (ie lowerest fender point to roadway). this is for your protection of course.
so the assmaggot calls his department and verifies this. i was there on the side of the road for almost an hour while this butt monkey and all the other donut eaters where trying to read the code. to make a long story short i was right and got off.
lessons learned: 20" rims pay for them selves, since this allows you to slam the hell out of your truck and still be within the law.

hell yea! i beleve there is also a law that states your headlights have to be a cirtain height. so they can get you on one or the other. but since the lights on out daks are so high, we dont have to worry.

I think its 15 inches from the bottome of your light to the ground.
Use to get popped all the time when I lived in cali in my superbeetle. headlight buckets sit real low in the first place.
Got to remember that little law when I go back to visit
