Subject: 2/3 drop too much up front!!! IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2/3 drop on my 98 318. The driver's side is constantly bottoming out and messing up the sidewall on my brand new tires. I have Western control arms up front and blocks in the rear. I will try to bend the lip on the fender back, but I am wondering if there is a way to maybe lift the front up and inch without haveing to replace the control arms. Thanks a lot.

Message: get taller bump stops, that way, the bump stop
hits before the tire hits the fender.

Message: well guys, I actually solved my problem yesterday afternoon. I hate to admit it, but I went to AutoZone and picked up a set of rubber coil spring stabilizers....I know it sounds like a cheap fix, but it worked. They claim to lift the vehicle 1 1/2 inches, but mine remained at the same height. It really made the truck drive better, lot less nose dive when stopping, and better control when taking tight turns, really woke up the Doetsch Tech shocks I put on last fall.
