Subject: 3"Front/4" Back IP: Logged
Message: I was thinking of getting a kit to lower the front 3 and the rear 4. It comes with springs for front, blocks for back, and new shocks. Would I need to change anything else with this amount of drop? I know it's not drastic, but I was just wondering about alignment.

that drop
if u want a stock ride, find something that replaces your upper
and lower a-arms for the front, and leafs for the rear...thats
what i did and its a pretty good set up (roughly $1000). Except
that i had to modify the front a-arms so they would'nt shift back
and forth every time braked or gassed it.

Message: Pretty much what he said. There is really no way to maintain a "stock ride" when lowering a vehicle, but hotchkis TVS comes the closest. If you are not down to spend alot of money for a minor drop, go with 3" lowering a-arms for the front and 5" lowering shackles/hangers for the rear.

Message: PYE and Fed,
about the a-arms and shackles. You are correct, I don't have a lot of money to spend, so the hotchkis is probably out. Who sells the a-arms and shackles at a lower price?

Message: Also, how hard will the a-arms and shackles be to install versus coils and blocks? I would say that I am mechanically inclined, but I have never messed with suspension before.
