Subject: Installing Hotchkis Coils IP: Logged
Message: I was wondering if I will need an inside spring compressor for the springs. I've read on several posts that you do and you don't, so a good word on yeah or neah would be nice. The instructions just say that these need to be installed by a professional. I have a '01 CC R/T
Thanks for any help.

Message: Hi mate shouldn't need a spring compresser, just make sure there is either a bottle jack or trolley jack under the A-arm then losen the balljoints and shock then lower the whole assembly slowly using the jack under the A-arm.This way its controllable, but you still might have to force the spring out of it mounting hole if its been in a long time.Use a pry bar under the A-arm mount then force the A-arm down..you might need someone to help you though.Good luck
