Subject: problem lowering IP: Logged
Message: i was wondering if any of you know how to get the lower balljoint disconnected from the lower control arm i need that disconnected to get my spring out i tried almost every thing any tips? PLEASE HELP!

With the castle nut threaded part way on, rap the side of the steering knuckle with a ball peen hammer. The tension from the spring will help, but once it's loose you'll want to chain the spring up so it won't hit you in the head when you get the lower control arm all the way off. You should have the truck on stands and a trolley jack under the spring seat.
