What is the best height to drop for a slightly lower appearance without having to do any other modifications? 2/3, 2/4, or 3/4. I do use the bed, especially in the winter for weight. i also have a gibson catback system which may or may not interfere.
One more question, what is the height difference from the bump-stop to stock height?
Thanx

I'd probably go 2/3 for your application. Easily achieved and easy to live with (and cheap). You could go a little more, and the air-bag sys that you ask about in the other post would help if you're carrying a load.
Good luck.

you didnt say what year you have , but for a Gen II - I would agree ; thats what I did on my '91

in winter I put weight in my bed, plus in summer I haul stuff too. I use air shocks which are ~$100/pair and when I need to haul anything heavy I air those babies up to 200psi.. lifts it back to stock and then some (still rides on the bumps with 1500 pounds of dirt in it though ;)

any more than a 3" drop in back and you will riding on your bump stops *all the time* ; with my 3" blocks there is only about 1.25" between axle and bumps, and thats with no tailgate and no spare tire

I have a 99 sport. There doesn'tlook like there is much room to lower based on the height difference between frame and the bumpstop. I think ill just go with a 2/3 drop height just so i don't have to worry about hitting my exhaust or riding on the bmpstp. The gibson split rear system says itll take up to a 4 in drop, but i want to be careful. thanks for your opinions.
