Hello I have a question for you guys.My dad currently owns a 2001 Dakota Quad cab 4.7L.He wants to lower it 4 front 6 rear. A friend of his recommended this kit which cost nearly $900.00.

http://www.stylinconcepts.com/part.cfm?PartID=12929&PartFamilyID=550&SubCategoryID=206&CategoryID=30

I'm curious if their is any cheaper kits, and is that all he needs to lower it?

Also a shop is going to install for him for $200.00 Is that a good deal?

All your opinions would help.

i would go with a 3/4 drop.there is a big money diff for that extra inch.also its usually cheaper
to buy piece by piece from different places. some companys have better prices on different things.

Looking at all the crap it comes with, I geuss it's really not a bad deal. $200 for the installation sounds decent, I know around here they wanted anywhere from $250-$400....so we just did it ourselves.

Just shop around, you can easily find a better deal, especially if you buy it peice by peice from different locations.

This is what you NEED...all that other crap is just extras that help.(you will need the c-notch if you drop the back more than 5")

-Shackles/Hangers
-Either control arms or springs(or both, if you want more than a 3" drop in the front)
-new shocks.
