Message: dude,
i got the Western Chasis 2/4 drop. i used the Contrl arms, hangers, and the shackles to achieve this. i love the way my truck looks on the drop. the only thing i regret is installing drop shocks with it. now i have a really BUMPY ride!!!!!! other than that i like WC.
jus my 2 cents,
Scotty

Message: I got the 3/5 kit front springs, rear shackles and hangers and drop shocks. It's been on for about a month and I love it. Hangers are adjustable 4", 4.5", 5" set it 4.5" looks great.
Shocks do give it stiffer ride but I would'nt
go this low without good quality lowering shocks.
Don't forget to trim the bumpstops I ordered a
low frofile set from Jegs 9 bucks a pair.

Message: I just got my kit off a guy I met here on the boards. He hooked me up with a 2/4 drop, coils, shackles, hangers and 4 Doetsch Tech shocks. Im planning on having a shop install it next month. I heard a lot of good things on these boards about Western Chassis. I got a really good deal on the kit so thats mainly why I got it or else I would gone with the Bell Tech kit. Cant beat the "hook up" price.

Message: I have a 92 dakota with a 4/4 drop and the rear seems as low as a 5 or 6 inch drop. But the ride is great, the parts and instruction were awesome, and the build qaulity is probably the best I have seen. Don't waste your time with bell-tech, They seem over priced with equal or less qaulity then w.c.

Message: Well I got the control arms 2 inch drop and I dont like em! Mine make a shake sound as if something is loose and Ive tightened and retightened everything! Switching to hotchkis drop coils up front instead! With bilstein shocks! Was also told that you cant align the front with a drop which i thought was BS! Anyways dont make your decision based on my experience cuz it looks like a lot of people like theirs! Anyone else experience major bumpsteer with these?

Message: Actually it wasnt the control arms after all! The right rear shock was loose and was causing the front to feel loose! Weird if ya ask me! So I retract my statement and now just need to find out if an alignment is possible?

Message: hey edward try sporttruckdirect.com for western chassis. If you lower more then 2-4" up front depending on the vehicle then you need adjustable control arms. If a alignment guy says you cannot adjust or align any lowered vehicle then get your ride the f*ck away from that person. though some vehicles are a bitch to try and adjust and align. and drewzrt I am glad that it wasn't w.c. products meesing up your ride. but that was wierd about the shock thing.

Message: Yeah I left that joint as fast as I got there lol!
Yeah well I noticed the shock was loose when I hit a speed bump with just the right rear and made an awful rattle noise! So I took the truck straight home and tightened it pretty good! Turned 4 easy turns and 2 tough turns and drove it again and was cured! I was kinda baffled but happy it was fixed at the same time!

Message: I've heard with the control arm drop that you lose some of your turning radius. if so how much do you accuailly lose with the 2" control arm drop?

Message: I have the 3/5 kit. 2" dropped front arms, 1" drop springs, 5" rear hangers. I also replaced all bushings with energy suspension poly ones, put in moog balljoints, used belltech drop shocks. Also installed front and rear anti-sway bars from a 99 r/t.
The springs in the kit are actually made by eibach, and those of you familiar with sport cars know this is a top of the line company.
I have a really great ride quality, only very slightly rougher than the stock 98 sport 2wd suspension.
I do have a squeak from the front end, but after reading some other posts on here, I think it may be with the front sway bar bushings.
Oh and yes you do loose some turning radius, it makes U turns tricky as my r/t wheels rub the sway bar at full lock. The stock 15's were even worse.
My conclusion = I love the WC parts !!
