Its not my exhaust, i checked when i took my bed of to install a c-notch. when u lift a truck the driveshaft slides out and sometimes u need a longer driveshaft. when u lower one does it do the opposite? could my driveshaft be shoved in to far and be causing problems? i also thought it may be my pinion angle, but i really have no idea

hey, i tried lowering my reg cab that much and i had the same problem with the scraping. It turned out that it was my driveshaft. The slip yoke on the end of the driveshaft has been pushed into its maximum, so whenever there is any movement (bumps or even any torque moving forward) there is slight binding and the scraping noise occurs. This can be corrected with a big pinion angle change i think, but instead i just machined my blocks to 1 inch and there are no problems now. For only 1 inch i thought it was not worth the money of getting a custom made driveshaft.

Had same problem with a 6 drop. Check your rear pinion angle. Most likely it needs to be shimmed about 3 degrees. These are available at any speed shop.
