You can get 2 inchs with springs, OR spindles either one, not sure that you can get 3 inchs, normaly you get 2 inchs from either part so if you did both you would get 4 not 3.....can't think of a good smart azz answer right off yet... :)

inexpensive. you can go with 3 inch drop springs in front and 3 inch blocks out back. if u do it yourself, less then $150

The easiest way to lower the front of your truck would be to use the 2" drop spindles. You CAN use coils but than you are going to mess up your alignment worse than if you used spindles. Although they are more expensive they are the better way to go, in my opinion. Also i've never heard of any problems with extruded aluminum blocks, and all i am ever around is mini-truckers. Hope i was of some help.

if you lower using springs then yes you need shocks, if you lower using spindles it doesn't change the suspension geometry, so you don't need new shocks. you should always get an alignment after any suspension work.

if your going 4" 2" then it wont be level i went 3" 3" and the front was lower then the back so i did 3" 2" and it was perfect so i suggest doing a 4" 3" drop

Dak is right. you cant get spindle for a newer dakota, no one makes them. So you are left with springs and control arms. You can get three inch lowering springs for a dakota, i have a set sitting in the corner of my garage.and definatly get an alignment.
