 Subject: How low can i go???

question for anyone who knows anything bout lowering,
i have a 98 dak extended cab 2 WD, and i have 17 in wheels wrapped in 255/55/HR17 scorcher red tires. i want to use shackels and hangers, how low can i go so that my tires won't rub when i go around a turn??? What are a couple of good companies that make them??? and how much should i expect to pay for the partz? any info that you guys can give me i'd really appreciate it, also i'm sporting the xenon ground effects which i think would make a little difference.
All responses are greatly appreciated!!!

You should be able to go for a 4/6 drop. Some people on this forum have that and run 20" rims. You shouldn't rub unless you have an unsual off set on the rims. Western chassis and djm would be the best kits. Expect to pay $500-600 for a full kit. The body kit will just make your truck appear that much lower to the ground.

DJM sucks. Always go with Belltechs. I dont know much about Western Chassis, but no one else offers Lifetime warranties like belltech. Save yourself troubles......hell, just get a chevy

i used to drive a chevy, and the best thing that i ever did with it was drive it to the local landfill, park it, and call a taxi to get home!!! :)

I've had my DJM for almost 3 years. NO problems EVER. Don't make blanket statements bro.
99 Sport 3.9 V6, 5/7 drop, 18" Coddington Stingrays on the way,

low99's right, don't listen to him. Both are very reputable companies and I would say that it's split 50/50 for dakota owners that lower there trucks.
P.S. Belltech doesn't know what there doing when it comes to Dakotas, just Chevys.

my DJM kit is great, my brothers DJM kit is
great...AIM was horrible on my 98 s-10.
I wouldnt say something sucks unless it has
done you wrong.
