Subject: 94 dakota backspacing IP: Logged
Message: My girlfriend just bought a 94 dakota standard cab long bed with the 3.9 v6. I'm into the minitrucking scene and we plan on building the truck with 18s and 20s, bagged and bodydropped. I measured the stock backspacing to be 5 inches and i believe its a 15x7 wheel. I then measured from the inside fender lip to the mounting surface on the rotor and got 4". I took an inch off and made it 3" and she wants a 18x8 up front which would make the backspacing 5". Will this tuck up front? What about the back in which i plan on running a 20x8. I searched the forums and i seen a lot of people had problems with wheels tucking on the newer dakotas. Anybody have any experience with a 94 bodystyle being bagged and what not? Thanks
