Subject: Even out the rear.... IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2001 Dakota Sport. Nothin to special but I want to drop the rear a little bit to give it a more even ride. I'm not sure how much to drop the rear in order to get the even look. I'd guess 1-2" but I don't want to drop it to much!
Also any suggestions about what to use would be great.

Message: 2" should level it out. Go with steel blocks, new U-bolts. (cheap, easy to do) Or spend a huge amount of $$$ and time and effort on a Hotchkis set up. (springs, hangers, shackles, shocks, etc.)
I'm sure others will have thier opinions, too.

Message: Just installed chassistech 2" rear blocks on my '02. I ended up taking them back off & cutting 5/8" off the block and dowel pin(ended up w/ identical wheelwell spacing). I'd go with 1" if I had it to do over. Chassistech(AIM) also sends the wrong size U-bolt with their kits(told me to drill out spring pad!@#$?) so prepare to tack on more money for proper bolts
