 Subject: 2/3 or 3/4 drop shock question

i have a 93 x-cab 2wd dakota and i am either going to lower it 2/3 or 3/4. my question is what size shock do i need to get. would it be possible to run my stock shocks for 1 week or so on this drop. i know the back will be droped 4" using blocks since i have already bought them but have not determined whether i want to go 2" in front or 3". i was hoping to to do this mod this weekend but need to know about the shocks since i will most likely have to order them (i live in a small town)

You really should get drop shocks if you lower. Doetsch Tech makes them. If you lower your vehicle and run your stock shocks you will find yourself bottoming out suspension wise when you go over bumps or potholes etc.
