Subject: lowering shakles? IP: Logged
Message: I want to lower the rear end of my '94 about 2" and I was wondering about shakles. Wouldn't lowering shakles mess up your pinion angle on the rearend? I would still like to be able to haul loads would blocks or springs be better?

Message: Shackles may alter the angle a little bit, but probably not enough to worry about.
With blocks you can get ones with angle correction built in. For a 2" drop, the blocks are the easier choice, some frown on them but if installed correctly they are safe and do the job at a fraction of the cost and fraction of the time to install.
