Hello everyone
Im about to lower my '99rc rt. I've been looking and looking and pricing and decided to piece it together. Im going with front 2" coils(belltech rt) and 3"shackles/hangers in back. Im not worried about the coils but not to sure on the shackles.
1 How much work is involved with the install of the rear? Will I have to trim the bumpstops? Will I have to drop the gas tank? Will I have torch anything?
Before I commit to this I want to know what Im in for... Thanx

You will have to trim the bump stops, front and back. You may even want to consider removing the back ones. With a 3" drop in the rear you have to watch the brake tee on top of the diff., may hit the under side of the box. You will rub tires on the lip of the fender well, in the back at least. Don't plan on hauling anything heavy or towing anything with high tongue weight.
Good luck, have fun!
(all above derived from personal experince with my R/T CC)

PS: May need to torch front hanger rivets, if you can't get a grinder in there. In that case, drop the tank just to be safe.
What you're in for is a bit of labor and a lot of compliments when it's done.

I have the 2-3 drop from belltech with nitro drop shocks and have been very pleased. If i remember right they didnt have to do any cutting or welding the only modification they had to do was use U-bolts from a 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton druck to get the bolts to fit around the r/t's axle.

Hey jbsrt~

Would you be willing to sell your stock RT front coils. I have been looking for some and would be willing to take those off your hands.
