I lowered mine as cheap as possible with 3 inch drop coils ($100 then) 4 inch blocks ($19 + $15 for new u-bolts) then $29.99 for an alignment! Total under $200 and my truck sits 3/4 lower! Rides rough, but handles better than most mustangs, and camaros!

Cut the coils, 1/4 turn off for each 1" lower. Blocks in the back, for sure. (or for the really cheap way: take a leaf out of the spring pack on each side. No new u-bolts/blocks to buy, cut the coils too and you may only spend time, not $$$)Watch the bumps stops, they may need to be trimmed. Align for sure when done (if you are super-duper cheap, you can get away with setting the tow-in at home for nothing, not recomended for the beginer).

I would recommend not doing it at all until you can get some more money and do it the RIGHT way. Don't cut the coils or use blocks...Your truck will ride like crap and you will be sorry for takin the "cheap and easy way." It's a fairly new truck and your proud of it right? Don't hack it man....do it right the first time.

I have some 2" DJM control arms and 4" belltech hangers. Thats the best ride you can get when lowering without bags. I'll let them go for.....$325+shipping. I live in texas so it probably be like $30 to ship, maybe a bit more because of the weight. Email me if your interested and maybe we can come to some agreement.

Cooksey, I am interested but it will take me some time to get the money. Anyways, I don't have to much experience with this kind of stuff, so would I be able to install those control arms and hangers myself?

Yes, but you need a torque wrench. If you don't have one don't worry though, you can rent one for a weekend or something. But yes, you can install them yourself and its a fairly simple process unless you run into some unexpected quirk.
