I have a 01 dakota sport, i want to take off the labeling without hurting the paint. Anyone know how? I also want to get a viper emblem for the hood, where could I find one of those?

Everyone hates when I tell them how I took my labels off the truck. I used a razor blade. Actually a utility knife blade. Not one scratch on my paint. Takes just minutes per sticker this way, very fast. Gotta have a steady hand though. The most time consuming part is removing all the adhesive. There are various things that will remove it like bug and tar remover, etc. I did this about 6 months after I bought the truck and there was no discoloration where the decals used to be.

Most use the hair dryer/heat gun technique. Don't let it get too hot though.

I did mine in the summer (I live in arizona) and all i did was have it parked in the sun for an hour or so, then the stickers come right off, just peeling them off with my hands. Then all it took was some Goo-Gone, and the adheasive was gone too.
