Subject: 5/7 drop? IP: Logged
Message: Just wondering if anyone out there has done a 5/7 drop on their truck? I currently have a 2/3 and will be going to the DJM 3/5 kit with control arms and shackles. But if it's still not low enough could I go lower? I understand I'll have to modify the upper control arms to get it to camber correctly, c-notch the rear end and be limited in overall tire diameter. I've seen pics on here with a 5/5, but just wondering if anyone has gone more. Btw, I know baggin it would be the way to go with this much drop, but it's a little out of my price range, and ability.

mine's dropped about 6" all around (with lower profile tires up front) but i did it cheaply; u can do it better. i dont see goin any lower without driving being a hassle.
i still have to c-notch the frame, i removed the front plastic inner fenders; i dont rub the tires on the fenders, but i scrape on speedhumps and other things.
and i didnt have to modify the upper ctrl arm at all; i have some negative camber, but no unusual tire wear from it. hope this helps...peace
