Subject: Brake line LEAK / L. control arm

I went into more detail on my General Board post: "Brake line LEAK at Control Arm GenIII". Just a caution if you have altered suspension on a 1997-2004 Dakota. Check the left (outboard) metal brake line for interference with the front corner of the left upper FACTORY control arm. On my '01 with AIM 3" drop lower control arms, the brake line developed a hole from the impact. It took 60,000 miles to present itself, but the easy prevention is to just kink the line AWAY from the control arm. The left side brake line is different on 2-wheel ABS than 4-wheel ABS systems.
