 Subject: Lowering 04 Quad cab w/ 20's

I have a 2004 Quad cab 2X4 4.7 5-speed auto transmission. I want to drop the truck 2/4. I want to know if I will have a problem lowering it with my 20's. The tire size is 275 45/20. The tires stick out over my fenders. If I lower the truck will the tires scrape my fenders? If so what can I do. If not what kit do you recommend?

You should be ok but if you hit a nice size dip or pot hole doing a great speed you could possibly hit the fender i know w/ a 3" drop in the front it can happen but i havent heard much of the happening w/ a 2" drop. I would recommend a kit from stylinconcepts.com or brislands.com they know dakotas pretty well. Hope I could answer your question.
