i have a '99 dak sport. i installed a 2/3 drop on it and put on a set of stock R/T rims and tires. when i installed the drop, the front tires rubbed the fender wall so i had to install a set of 2-3/4 inch bumpstops (the biggest on the market). i want to put 20s on my truck now but there is no room height-wise for the rims and tires. has anyone ever removed the fender wall and whatever is behind it to fit bigger wheels. if so, Please tell me how and how hard it was to do. THANK YOU!

Here's the deal yeager-meister. If you get some low pro tires in the front you don't even need to do anythign that complicated. I have a set of 245/40ZR20 all the way around and im about to drop it 2/4, but I've talked to people and done some measuring, and I figure as long as you have anything below a 275/45/20 in the front, you're good. They make a 275/40/20 but they're hard to find and a 245/40/20 is the tallest thats easy to find. I also think that you can put a set of 275/45/20's in the rear and fill up the well a little bit more, and save money. Theres a little tid-bit on what all you can do so that you don't have to do any surgery.

man u r crazy the 275/45/20 is the cheapest 20" tires out by goodyear its the gtII im on my 3rd set as of today, and ive got a 3/4 drop on it and it BARELY i mean BARELy scrapes the front, only when i dip into a really sharp corner @ about 60/80 and all the weights on my fronts, but now im gonna sell em and go 22's 255/40/22 by perelli but those r not cheap but they r the lowest my roomie could find. and STILL i wont have to do nothing cosmetically!!!!

That's just what I've heard man, notice how I said "from what other other people have told me" and what size engine do you have? That's gonna make a lot of difference too, if he's got an R/T and youe got a little single cab 4 banger then of course youre not gonna rub, but he's gonna grind those bitches. So I mean back off, this is just the concencus around here

20" KMC Venom's, P275/45-R20 Goodyear Eagle GTII tires with about 75% tread left, great looking rims on any heigth dakota, need to sell asap, need the money for college, brand new rims and tires cost $2600, only on the truck for 5 months, gonna let go dirt cheap for $1750, e-mail me for pics taylord1@citadel.edu

beat up ya right the tire are BRAND NEW no miles and the wheels are 9 months old the venoms are played out for one and 2 there are way too many guys dropping and putting dubs on dakotas and durangos so i went with 22's sorry u got a bad taste in your mouth from my comment but you know the venomns in 20" is going for around 300 per and the tires are only 130 per so IF someone did want them for the same price as yours they could be rolln on BRAND new wheels AND tires
