Message: i was looking into getting 20 inch wheels for my 02 dakota. i dont want the wheels to stick out of the fender so i dont know what the max width i can get is. my truck has the fender flares on it so can i get a 20x9 without the wheel sticking out? please let me know. thanks a lot.

Message: Yes.You can put 20X9 rims on your Dakota and not have the wheel and tire combination stick out past the fender flares. The most important consideration is the wheel offset.I have 20X9's on my 00 Quad Cab with fender flares that is lowered with a 3/5 drop and the wheels fit fine. They do not stick out past the flares.Go with a rim that has the same offset as the R/T stock rims.

Message: One other note for your info is that I am running on 255/35R20's.This tire is only 27" tall for the drop on my truck as compared to a 28" height for a stock Dakota tire and wheel combination.
