What type of rims ?
If you plan to run the Stock Wheels,
plan on your tires hitting the fenders on bumps and dips (unless you do a little bump-stop work )
A 4" block And pulling a leaf is not a good idea
if you try a full pedal launch at the traffic light the spring wrap/wheel hop will chip your teeth! and may also tend to break things on your
truck.
..if you need to go that low but still want it removable, try 2" hangers on the front of the leaf springs with 3" blocks below the axle
(and pinion/angle shims)plus shorter shocks.
and just remove the blocks for winter driving.
or 4"hangers and a 1" block ,or lowered leaves.
I have to deal with the South Dakota SNOW,
For winter I still run 2" dropped coils and 3" blocks, but with 235/70/15 Daytonas( 27" tall )
on 8.5"wide rims ( plenty of room.)
ROLL SAFE !

Message: In my opinion a 5"drop in the back would not be cheap or easy. I have a 3" drop in the back and I hit the shorter and cut bump stops with nothing in the box, until I put Slamair helpers bags in.
The only option to solve this would be a cnotch, and that tends to complicate things if your looking for cheap and easy.
If I were you I would go with 3" blocks in the back and 2" drop coils in the front. I had 2" blocks in the back and the wheel hop was not noticable from stock. At this point you dont have much money stuck into it, and you can tell better where you want to go from there, if you want to go lower in the front it would not be hard to do.
Also, 3/5 may make the back look lower than the front, which in my opinion does not look very good. I first did a 0/2 drop and the back looked lower.
This is what I did, I bought Beltech 2"drop coils
($129 from summit racing)and Hotchkis 3"drop leafs
($275 from summit racing), the hotchkis leafs have plates to adjust about a half inch each way, depending on vehicle, mine went from 2 3/4" to 3 3/4" drop. I also got drop shocks (Beltech) for about $35 a piece, which would probley be needed for that much of a drop. Later I wanted to go lower in the front so I cut 3/4 of a coil off the springs with a die grinder and cut-off wheel and got another inch of drop in the front for a total of 3" with no difference in ride.
If you go with blocks and coil springs, if you wanted to you could change it back to stock in about 4 hours with just hand tools and jack stands. It took me 2 hours to remove ,cut, and reinstall my coil springs ,and 2 hours to replace stock leafs with drop leafs.
I have a 99 Dakota sport reg cab(no cap or lid) with a 3/3 drop and I'm running on 275/60 15's(11"wide x 28"diameter) on stock 15x8" wheels, and have not rubbed a wheel well or bottomed out yet in the front. I did bottom out in back without the air bags.
