Message: not sure how the front will be, but the back is EXACTLY how i did mine, plus HAD to change te shokcs. load capacity is definitely affected by taken out the leaf, and bolocks make wheel hop kinda bad (esp. 4"). but it'll ride fine if u get some nice shocks AND dfenitely c-notch the franme. with mine like that, and no bump stops my axles like an inch from the frame; and my shoxcks are compressed to much an d stiff, SO the front rides fine, but the back is stiff as hell and bottoms out. SOO , if u get the right shocks and cnotch it, it'll ride fine, but you'lll have whell hop and axle wrap or whatever, and u lose some load capacity. good shocks(right length) and cnothch (i'm gonna do soon)...it'd be a good ride though....peace
ps: i'm pretty drunk right now buti wanted to help u out...peace

Message: i don't know if you've seen pics of what a 3/5 drop would look like but i tried a 2/4 drop and felt the 4 was too much and went to a 2/2 drop here's what mine looks like http://mark-world.com/dakota
but maybe you are going for the slammed look, just watch out for those speed bumps ;)

Message: Yeah the front sounds good but I would find a different method for the rear.Your hauling capacity will be zero and you will have axle wrap to the max with 4" blocks and only a few rear leafs if you hammer on the throttle lots.To me it does not seem like the way to go.I went with front and rear hangers on my 00 Dak and I'm happy with it.One other thing your'e gonna need for a rear drop that low is a mild C section in the rear to stop the axle from bottoming out on the frame.Plus shorter shocks.Don't try to economize on your lowering job.Do it right because you may end up with something that your'e not happy with and your truck will ride like crap!

Message: i dont think youd want to do that in the rear anyways, id imagine youde get a saggy rear end, figuring the spring will drop you 1.5". just get some shackles and 2" blocks, cheap and effectivve without comprimising anything.
