Subject: is it true? IP: Logged
Message: I read somewhere that if you lower a truck only 2"-3" that you would not have to buy shorter shocks.I'm new to the lowering part of a truck so I wanted to ask you guys.

Message: How about it you use coils and control arms for a lower drop than 2". Couldnt you use the same shocks still, since the coils will shorter the actual height between the conrtol arm and the body mount, but the control arm will lower the whole thing not actually creating a smaller height in the spring??

Message: I put 3" drop springs on the front and 2" blocks in the back and used the oem shocks. I would have lowered the back more but my exhaust kept hitting the axle
