Subject: DJM or Western Chassis Control arms? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 02' RC R/T and i was going to install 2" drop lower control arms from either DJM or Western Chassis, what are the pro's and cons between these two companies and which would be preferred for agressive driving?

Message: Both DJM and Western Chassis are the control arms used for a lowered look, of course it helps handling tremendously but for full out performance, you should go with a Hotchkis TVS.

Message: I've heard some really bad things about Western Chassis/AIM. So if i were you, I'd go DJM.

Message: hotckis wont work if he wants a 2" drop. AIM is not the same as western chassis, chassis tech is. even then, ive used aim products with no quality issues.
i have seen pictures of both older set of western chassis and djm control arms snapping, but i think those problems are fixed. i have some 3" djm control arms in my garage waiting install. ive never heard anyone complain about either product (except when they broke obviously), so i would just go with which is more affordable.

Message: The Hotchkis TVS is 2" in the front 3" in the rear. It uses coils and leaf springs and new sways.

Message: I have a 99 R/T with the Hotchkiss and I got a 2/3" drop. It'd be the perfect truck if the brakes didn't suck.
If you go this way make sure you put the Bilsteins on. It won't stop the tires from hitting, but they do reduce it quite a bit.
Does anyone make adjustable stops for these things or do I have to make them myself?

Message: truckin.com has adjustables...
and you didnt get 2/3 inches of drop, unless your truck was the same as a sport/reglar dakota, think about it.
r/t=dropped from the factory via the coils/springs. your only lowering the front another inch by adding 2" drop coils, and the rear 2" by adding 3" leaf srpings.
