It depends on how wide the wheels are... those 255/45 sound good; if u want em a little narrower, my rear tires are 235/50: about .44 of an inch smaller than stock (no significant change in speedo or odometer). I have em on 8.5" wide rims, fit perfect, but that's as wide of a rim u can put em on. peace

Thanks for the help guys
I saw some tires on eBay for about $400
235/40/18
I really wanted to get the 50s or 55s but I'll look around some more.

u wanna see some 235/40/18s?? that's what i have on the front of my truck...there honestly pretty damn small, smaller than i wanted but they do look good. but ALSO, i had problems getting em cuz their load rating really isn't high enough for our trucks (cuz of the small sidewall).
Here's a pic, but for some reason, it doesn't look like much of a difference front to back, but believe me, in person there is DEFINITELY!
if u can't find a hookup with a good price, you might find a good deal on tires.com OR tirerack.com
how wide r your rims anyway? peace

thanks bro, i've messed with the suspension ALOT over the years, and i'm still gonna mess with it more once i get some $$, but basically, it's 3" drop springs with 3/4 coil cut off in front; 4"blocks and a leaf taken out in back. and no bump stops anywhere (axle's about 1" off the frame, need a cnotch). Pretty much as cheap & ghetto as it gets, but at least i didnt torch the springs. i guess it's about 5 or 5 1/2" all around.(plus the drop from the low tires in front)
the rear tires are 235/50/18. fit the 8.5" wide rims perfect, but i wouldn't go any narrower. like i said above, BARELY smaller than stock, i may be like 2mph off at 80mph. (there's someone else on here with a red dak and AR Maxims with the same size all around, and u can see em better.) peace

That red dak would be mine :D

Those are the 235/50/18s. They are a really nice tire, and like UFDakota said, barely smaller than stock, so you won't have to mess with speedometer readings and all that.

I suggest looking at a Discount Tire, Big O Tire, or some other shop for tires. Usually if you buy a set of 4 they'll mount and balance for free. But if you bring them in to them from off the internet, they will charge anywhere from $5-$20 per wheel for that.

And they have good prices too. Just tell them that you're looking/calling around. That's what i did. And i ended up getting my tires for $110 each, with 50% off alignment. They'll usually hook you up if they think you might go somewhere else.

(BTW, the tires i have are BFG T/A GeForce KDWS. They are a really nice tire. Work great.)

matt, got your email, mailed u back.
and just too add: mine are BFG too; i think a different model tho...but i got mine from either tires.com or tirerack.com for a pretty good price. i think this size is a little cheaper than others for some reason. But they're damn good! mine are 400 treadwear and AA traction. and i think were under $140 each. i've taken em to the track (i love burnouts:) and they're holdin up REAL nice. peace

My BFGs were only $110 each, and they also have 400 treadwear rating, and AA traction. I've only had them for about 500 miles, but i love them. Still getting broken in though.
