Has anyone used the air ride air bar? Im thinkin about getting it and puttin slam specialties bags on instead of the sleve bags (rise way to slow). Also does anyone know if it will fit on a quad cab? Im guessing that the rear frame is the same just that the cab takes up more and hte bed less, but id rather KNOW than guess. Later im gonna put the super notch in but for now just the c-notch. I want to build my own truck but I can't weld so this is the other way to go. Thanx alot guys, later

You would be better off buying a nice mig welder for 400 dollars and teaching yourself to weld. Trust me, if you like to fabricate as much as you suggest then it will have to come into play eventually. Mig welding is probably the easiest to learn. Turn the gas on and set the heat for the metal your welding and lay down the puddles. Don't buy something just cause its bolt in and then change out the main part of its design.

Oh yeah, practice on some scrap sheetmetal first. Don't go and weld a notch in and cut your frame in two. Practice makes perfect. Start off on thick metal (easier than thin) and turn the heat up and start with a pretty slow feed 3 or 4 and just practice welding the butts of the plates together. Thats how I taught myself anywayz.

I think the Quad Cabs are different in the rear, I know that they use a different trailer hitch then the CC's and Regular Cabs.

Thanx ian, ill check into that but also i think the hitch has to do with the stupid floating bar thingy in the rear of the quad cabs behind the bumper. Im gonna call them tommorow and see whats up. Thanx guys

The frame on the quad cab is the same. The guy at air ride technologies said that they have a quad cab with the bolt on air bar sitting in the parking lot. I decided im gonna get everything welded on by a shop and get it super notched, bridge bags over axle and allthat done so i do it once and thats it. Thanx again guys
