Subject: 4" block....shocks?

i put a 4" block in the rear to lower it and the ride is very stiff. bumps and holes feel way too big. i know its a cheap way of lowering it but i dont have a lotta cash and i like the dropped look of the back. what kind of shocks should i get to give me a better ride??

I have 4" blocks and got the DJM drop shocks off of a guy on this board. They are much stiffer than the shocks that i had, and i almost NEVER bottom out now. Just get a stiff shock, and you'll be ok.

do you think that my pinion angle will be ok. i dont have the angled blocks or anything, so i was wondering about that. ive had the blocks on for about 4 months and no problems as of yet. i just dont want to have a problem though.

If you plan on keeping them, I'd get some of the Pinon shims. These will correct the pinion angle for you. I'm not sure exactly how much of an angle you'll need, but i'm sure someone else here knows.

I have the angled blocks, so I didn't have to worry about that.

If you plan on building more power, blocks are not the way to go, the aluminum block bent and distort quite easily

That's why I have the steel blocks.

But i'm soon switching out for some shackles/hangers. Hate the ride of the blocks. Although i've gotten used to them, i'm always looking to upgrade.
