i have a 97 dakota and me and my boy bagged it and everything. I ordered the full kit and did a bunch of upgrades just to get better valves and stuff ( yes i ordered the aim kit and yes it was a mistake. Well this is the problem we 4linked the back and it lays out but the front won't. The bag mouts were all bolt in and i have tubular control arms but when aired out th front sits about 1 1/2 inches of the ground i was wondering if drop spindels would solve this problem beings they give a 2in drop and help would be greatly apperciated

Actually, they do make drop spindles. What are you talking about? I've seen a few for dakotas floating around.

A guy i know has an s10 extreme (poor soul) and he has the same thing. He bagged the front and it won't lay out unless he were to put dropped spindles on.

I'm sure you are in the same situation, with just a much better truck.

Ya... Matt. Where can we get these great spindals you speak so highly of. Untill then I say find out whats in the way and just plainly cut/weld. Its probably the cups hittin, swaybar, rear arm mount (not in that order)

I bet it doesn't lay out because the tires are hitting the tops of the inner fenders, or because the control arms are hitting the frame. Trim those areas and your truck will lay with the best of them.

i have the aim upper bag mounts and i had to cut off about 2.5" of it. mine did the same thing until i cut em and now it lays hard.
good luck finding drop spindels. i have NEVER heard of or seen em for a 97+ dak. this doesnt mean that nobody makes em. but i have looked and looked. so if someone knows of any let us know.
and ian could be right. check the tops of you inner fenders. i dont know what size rims you have but my 18's hit until i cut the fenders.

like onelojoe has to do, your bags may be bottoming out, so you'd have to make the mounting cups shorter; that's probably the case...peace

Put the stock control arms back on, i heard of allot of bagged dakota's that use the aftermarket drop control arm and they won't lay out, mine has the stock control arm with a cool ride front setup from ART and it lays out.
